This place is a must-see. I have never seen so many different birds in one place. The birds are very well cared for by the staff. The cages were all very clean. The staff are very knowledgeable about the birds and you could tell they love each and every bird. And, the birds seemed to feel very comfortable with each handler. We will return, and we highly recommend that if you are in the area, stop by. It is well worth the visit. Also, they have a lovely Cabin Cafe. Good food and welcoming owners. Very cozy and very clean.

What a wonderful visit today at world of wings. It really is a place for all the family. I booked the visit with my toddler in mind whom loves birds, he enjoyed seeing all the different species, especially the parrots saying “hello” back to him. More surprisingly though I enjoyed the visit more so for myself. What fascinating creatures. The staff are oozing with knowledge and happy to answer any questions, a great team of staff there that are so friendly and you can tell love the birds. The birds are well looked after and the place itself is well kept. We went to one of the bird showings which was spectacular, I’d have loved to see the other 2 showings however at an hour long it would have been a bit much for my toddler. Sitting for 1 though was great, he loved seeing the birds soar in the sky. Had a nice lunch in the café, not a huge choice but something available for everyone. Toddler loved the ice cream. There’s also an enclosed play park at the back of the cafe which was prefect for my toddler to have a safe space to run around while adults enjoyed a nice coffee. Can’t wait to come back.

We only saw a sign by chance and decided to visit the following day. It isn't a huge place, so if you have small kids who just want to see a bird and move on then you'll be round quite quickly. For us, we took an hour walking through with reading everything and spending more time at each bird. There are three flying demonstrations each day, we went to the first only as had plans for the afternoon and wanted to eat before leaving. The demonstration was excellent, 3 different types of birds were shown (owl, hawk and a falcon) all while the presenter was explaining how each lived, hunted in their environment etc. It was a great show, the birds were not scared to perch close to the audience so close up views are possible for those who get there early. The presenter was great as well, and was happy to spend time at the end answering questions. The cafe is nice, a small menu but nice panninis, toasties and coffees which we enjoyed. There is also a small gift shop, a little expensive but isn't everything these days, and the profits are going to help the sanctuary after all. On the way out I also noticed you can adopt/sponsor the birds as well. Overall we were pleasantly surprised, the birds were beautiful and to a non expert look well cared for.

I wasn't sure what to expect from the bird handling experience. Turned up and grabbed a coffee and bacon butty from the café, which was very tasty. There was quite a big group of us, but it was split in two and off we went. Lisa, the bird handler, was brilliant and took her time and showed us four birds. Each one of us in the group got to hold each of them. After some lunch, we watched a flying show where various birds were flown about the centre. The whole experience was really enjoyable, unrushed, and informative. Really worth a visit whether or not you're interested in our feathered friends. Café was clean and even though it has a limited menu, served up some nice grub. Toilets on site, again, clean and tidy. Great day out.

I had a great time at the World of Wings and enjoyed every minute there. I spent the first half of the day participating in the falconry session and the another hour post noon watching the flying show. Both the events were well organized and the staff were very professional. During the shows it was obvious that the staff had developed a bond with the birds over years and the birds are cared for very well.

Honestly such an amazing day out. If I could give it more stars I would. There was so much to do in top of the handling experience, and the cafe was lovely. We were even allowed to bring out coffees to see the flight show after our experience. Amazing 100/10.

Had a lovely time with the short owl walk and Oak the tawny owl. Stuart was knowledgeable and engaging and clearly cared very much about the conservation and welfare of birds. Excellent flight shows, would recommend sitting in the back row for the chance of a close bird encounter!
